Volunteers completed the installation of a new sign for our Post home. Next step is installing the five branch of service signs. They will be to the right of the bronze plaque which commemorates those from Seymour and surrounding area that served and those that died in service to our country during WWI.
Newly installed LED lights under the overhang will illuminate the sign for all who pass by. Once the service emblems are installed we will go into the next phase which is to have a POW/MIA bench and some kind of military statuary such as a kneeling soldier to dress up the front entrance. The former postal box used to deposit well worn U.S. Flags for proper disposal will remain out front for easy access. The Post sponsors a flag retirement in conjunction with local boy and cub scout groups each year.
