Minutes of May 10, 2019 meeting approved as posted on website.
Sergeant-at-Arms, Kevin Lindsey introduced visitors, guests and prospective members, including Dave Wagner, Post 79, and Fourth District Commander Frank Sterling.
Dave Wagner made a presentation on the Honor Flight program and pinned Vietnam Era veterans. Honor Flight has flown 1262 veterans to Washington DC. Applications for Honor Flight are online at www.pugetsoundhonorflight.org. He stated that they have 45 light weight folding wheelchairs and replace five each year through donations. Pins and certificates were presented to five Vietnam era veterans who had not previously been recognized.
Committee Reports
· Adjutant Granish reported that membership is currently 201 of goal of 213, 94.37%. Motion made, seconded and passed to accept transfers of Caroline Wood from Minnesota Post 11 and Andrew Garate, Washington Post 3.
· Adjutant Granish reported that a dinner for the National Commander will be hosted by the Post on Thursday, June 27. Kevin Lindsey and he will prepare top round roasts on their pellet smoker grills. Rose Hodgeboom will take charge of preparing the rest of the meal and desert.
· Auxiliary Unit President, Karen Grundler, reported that $960.30 was raised by our presentation of poppies. She thanked post members for their help. Two girls have been selected for Evergreen Girls State, one from each Riverridge and Timbline. Christmas in July will be on July 15 at Roolan.

· Fourth District Commander Frank Sterling was escorted forward and installed the officers for the 2019-2020 year in short form.

· Vice Commander Larry Douglas was escorted forward and presented a plaque recognizing his service as 2nd Vice Commander.
Good of the Legion:
·
· Robert Seely Home Depot project was finished last weekend with help form Combat Veterans Motorcycle Club. There are two more projects in the works.
· A wreath laying ceremony commemorating will be held on June 22 beginning at 11:00 am, at the Washington State Korean War Memorial Park.
· Dupont will have a Chili Cookoff on June 15. Proceeds benefit Post 53.
· Kevin Linsey reported that he has been checking out PTSD programs in the area and in other states.
· Dave Hodgeboom spoke on the upcoming Department Convention in Spokane. He is a candidate for Alternate National Executive Committeeman.
· Department Legion College will be held in Ellensburg August 2-4. Eric Strong is scheduled to attend.
There being no further business, Commander Walker closed the meeting at 8:40.
