During their annual Veterans Day "SOS Brunch," members of the Post presented the Fourth Estate Award to Roger Harnack, Publisher of the Sunnyside Daily Sun News.
The Award is presented to media or news outlets, reporters or editor-publishers for their work in America's free press and media. Often, such awards are presented for coverage of veterans, military members or issues of national security.
Harnack was chosen for his leadership of the Daily Sun News as well as his thoughful and insightful columns on topics of interest to our communities, state and nation. The Post also appreciated the support his newspaper has given to the programs of our Post and members of the larger veteran population.
This is the third time the Dailky Sun News has received this award from the Post.
