During a plaque dedication ceremony at the Queen Anne Seattle Housing Alliance, 1st District Vice Commander Jordan Houghton received the post charter for Post 206 from Commander Gary Roach, signifying the start of Post 206 officially. It was at this plaque dedication that we recognized the life of the many veterans that have been saved and served by the Seattle Housing Alliance
This was a proud moment for the Post, and it was great to be done in a powerful community such as the Seattle Housing Authority that helped so many individuals that truly have nowhere else to turn. Many veterans spoke to the value The American Legion had provided them in their life, and how excited they were to see a new post with younger veterans arising in the area after the loss of so many posts over the last decade.
