For the third consecutive year, the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and Eddie Cantor, radio, stage and screen star, will jointly sponsor the "Gifts for Yanks Who Gave" Christmas program for the servicemen and veterans in the hospitals this Christmas, Roy W. O'Hara of Bremerton, state commander, announced.
Cooperating in this program will be West Seattle Post 160 at West Seattle and its auxiliary, together with other American Legion units throughout the State of Washington and the Forty and Eight.
Retail dry goods stores and members of the Retail Druggists Association throughout the state and nation are a part of this gigantic program to provide a Christmas box for each service man or woman and each veteran in a service or veterans hospital.
Commander O'Hara announced the setting up of the Seattle station to receive the gift boxes for storage until Christmas: First District, 703 County-City Building Seattle.
