It was started by Jerry Charles and William Sanchez on a whim said that we can start one with the Tribal Veterans. We had over 30 Veterans and veterans that worked for the tribe. Most of the Legionnaires that were tribal were members of Post 29 Port Angeles, WA. we held the offices for one year while revitalizing the post through recruitment of new members at the Clallam County Fair. Help start the Legion Riders by asking at every meeting if there were riders that wanted to give it a try. After a while they did. Port Angeles post became successful....... then we start the Elwha Post 121 on the Lower Elwha Reservation. We met where we could and at different times until we found a place to call home. The Tribe gave the gathering place building to the veterans to use. we have made it home and since the start have held 100% strength in membership every year. Thanks to the tribe and casino for the help they gave us to succeed.
