At the April 11th Awards and Appreciation Dinner, Post 41 recognized its members who served on active duty during the Korean War Era. The Korean War is often referred to as the "Forgotten War" and the men and women who served were never properly recognized and thanked for their service and sacrifice.
Thirty-six veterans who served during the war were able to attend the dinner: Jerry G. Beydler; Dudley Earl Brown, Jr.; David E. Clark; Robert L. Crim; Arthur L. Cunningham; Frederick L. Curtis; Donald E. De Haven; George W. Dellinger; William N. Drury, III; Alan L. Dunsmore; Shirley M. Flippo; Roy A. Glammeyer; Charles O. Grubbs; George H. Harris; John F. Harris; Kenneth J. Herron; Milton P. Hinkle; William H. Hooker; Francis Y. Hudson; F. Winston Johns; Wade G. Johnson, Sr.; James J. Journell; James J. Kelly; Huber P. Kline; Sam C. Legard, Jr.; William B. Linck; Henry Linster; John W. Mallery; Maurice H. Mansfield, Jr.; Donald M. Maxwell; Alfred J. Myer; William I. Overbey, Jr.; Garland I. Pope; William H. Schuller, Sr.; Harry M. Smith; and Raleigh H. Watson, Jr. Twenty of these veterans were able to attend the ceremony.

Each Korean War veteran was presented with a certificate and a commemorative coin. The officers and men of Post 41 extend our sincere thank you to our veterans and all veterans who served during this war.
