On November 11th, the Town of Berryville and Clarke County held a Veterans Day Service at the Clarke County Veterans Memorial. Veterans were welcomed and thanked by Mayor Wilson Kirby. Hopefully, this will become an annual event.
Tammy Lanham performed some beautiful and patriotic songs. Commander Mike Linster and VFW Commander Bob Wagner placed a wreath on the memorial honoring all veterans. Vietnam veteran Chris Birch provided some heart-felt and emotional remarks about the sacrifice veterans have and are making for our nation.
After the service many of the veterans attended the open house and luncheon at VFW Post 9760. This was jointly sponsored by Post 41 and our comrades at VFW Post 9760.
