Post 41 held a picnic for Legionnaires and members of the Auxiliary and their families at Chet Hobert Park in Berryville. The delegates to Boys and Girls State were invited to attend and talk about their experiences. This became an annual event.
The first Post Picnic was in 1923 at Castleman's Ferry on the Shenandoah River. It was held on and off over the years at several locations including the Charles Town Park.
