The second annual Oktoberfest was held in October 1988. Other events included the Colonial Beach Classic 10k run and a Halloween Costume Parade. The Post sold red cabbage, sauerkraut, potato dumplings and hamburgers. All proceeds from the food sales were donated to the Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department and Volunteer Rescue Squad.
