The Post held their first social functions in the newly dedicated building, a Christmas Dance on December 23, 1950 and the Colonial Beach Rescue Squad held their New Years Dance in the Post Hall on December 30th. Both events featured Jesse Pyne and his 10 piece orchestra. Published in the Free Lance Star December 11, 1950.
