Post #37 is proud to announce the election of, Linda Mclean Perham ,as National Vice Commander to serve The American Legion throughout the Northeastern Region. National Commander Thomas Cadmus from the Department of Michigan will have five National Vice Commander throughout the Nation. Nomination speech renedered for Linda, was Past Post Commander Terrence Griffin, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Linda's highlights throughout the year:
Representing National Commander Cadmus at the Coast Guard Academy and the Military Academy at West Point.
Representing Nat. Commander Cadmus at the Veterans Day Celebration in Washington DC. This included breakfast at the White House, meeting President George W. Bush. Attending the Arlington Cemetery honors and laying a wreath at the Vietnam Memorial.
Special moments: Escorting Tim Russert (Meet the Press) and his father Past Post Commander "Big Russ". to lunch. Visting a wounded soldiers from Vermont at Walter Reed Army Hospital.
