Maurice Earl Farnham

 

7/7/1917-7/29/1971

 

He was born North Troy, Vermont. 

 

Age 23 He was working for the Blair Veneer Company.

 

He enlisted in the US Army during the Korean War. He received a Purple Heart when he was serious wounded by a missile explosion in South Korea, he was a Master Sgt. Foreign Service in Italy: 5/20/1946-8/22/1947 . 

 

He moved to Rutland and was a rural route mail carrier. 

 

He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, and Rutland VFW.

 

He was elected and served for two years  Post #31 Commander 1961-63.

 

He died of a heart attack in 1971 and is buried back home at the Horton Cemetery,Chittenden.
