Warren Gibbs Goodrich

1/13/12-3/6/1988

 

Born in Benson he graduated from Middlebury College.

 

1944 World War II veteran enlisted 3/20/1944-2/6/1946. E4.

 

He worked for Killington National Bank and was Vice President of First Vermont Bank and Trust

 

Rutland City Auditor 

 

Post #31 Commander 1950 when Ray Murphy left for the Armed Forces.

 

He founded the Serenity House in Wallingford , a rehabilitation center for drug and alcohol addiction. He was honored State wide for his advocacy in this area. 

 

He was on several boards and organizations in Rutland.

 

 

He retired to Sarasota Florida , he died 1988 and is buried in his hometown of Benson, VT
