Jack Augustine Crowley

Local boys makes good! Graduating from Rutland,VT, went to Cornell University. Also, studied at the University of Baune, France and Brooklyn Polytechnical Institute. 

 

He served in World War I in the U.S. Air Service in France and Italy. Returning to Vt National Guard serving during WWII. Retired LT Colonel 1946 Intelligence Division. 1/31/1918-7/10/1919. overseas 6/23/1918-7/2/1919.

 

Admitted to the Bar Association Feb 5, 1924

 

1925-29 Rutland City Attorney

 

Active with American Legion sponsor/chairman Boy Scouts of America’s program

 

1927 National Executive Committeeman (served 5 years).

 

1927 Appointed Department Adjutant of The American Legion toserve Dept. Commander Dr. Jas M. Hamilton (From Rutland).

He lived at 66 North Main Street, Rutland,VT . Died age 78, of heart disease and is buried at Calvary Cemetery.
