Ed Brown born November 6, 1932 in Rochester, VT. Graduated from Randolph High School in 1950. 

Ed joined the United States Airforce during the start of the Korean War, He was a tail gunner on B-29's of the 19th Bombing Wing. Later he entered the Vietnam War as a Commander Sergeant Major for the 13th Air Force in the Philippines with the 834th Air Division. He received AirMedal, Two Meritorious Service Medals, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, the Bronze Star. He retired in 1974 as Chief Master Sergeant. 

He received a Bachelors of Education from Castleton State College, a Masters in English from Norwich Univeristy and a certificate of Advanced Studies in Medieval Rennaisance from Keble College, Oxford Univeristy, England. 

He taught Computer Science, Business and English at Montpelier High School for 19 years; was the Business Manager for the Montpelier area school district; Superintendant of Schools in Chester Vermont for 12 years and retired in 2007. 

 

Commander of Post #25 in Windsor, Vermont. He lived in Hartland, VT

2007-08 5th District Cdr; 2008-09 Southern Area Commander; 2009-2010 Senior Vice Commander and Department Membership Chairman.

Department Committees held: Department Finance Committee, Yearbook and fundraising. 

 

He died November 13, 2014 and is buried in the Vermont Veterans Cemetery.
