Joe was born August 28, 1928 Barre, Vermont. His father Nash was from Mt. Lebanon, Syria. His mother from Barre, VT. Joe was proud of his heritage and often referred to himself as "The Camel Driver".
He spent his life with the US Army, serving during Korea and Vietnam. Corporal during Korea US Infantry. He served at the National Cemetery at Arlington,VA 1962 Honor Guard. Sergeant First Class during Vietnam, (he served two tours in country). Retired from Army Reserves.

Joe had a strong love for Children and Youth Programs, as commander. He was an inspirational leader with his own light hearted sense of humor.
Died December 21, 2002 at the VA Hospital with Small cell lung and throat cancer from Exposure to Agent Orange Vietnam. He is buried at the Vermont Veterans Cemetery.
