Bob Haley, born October 2, 1931 in Rutland,Vt. Graduated Black River HS.

Spent 20 years in the military.  First, enlisted in the Navy for 4 years on a LST patrolling the Caribbean seas. He re-enlisted in the Airforce and served 16 years in England, Alaska, Vietnam and Germany.

Upon return to Vermont, he worked for General Electric for 20 years, in Ludlow and Rutland branches.

He died age 81. March 15, 2013 and is buried at the VERMONT VETERANS CEMETERY.

 

His wife Betty, also a Legionnaire. Served the American Legion Auxiliary as Past Department President and Eastern Region National Vice President.
