Tom Coutts born February 14, 1931 Somerville, Massachusetts. He lived in Boston, Massachusetts.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Corporal.
Moved to Vermont 1967 and worked as a self employeed carpenter, then Beecher Falls Division of Ethan Allen for 23 years as a planer operator.
Commander 1973 and member of Post #47 in Canaan,VT he served as their finance officer for over 30 years.
Department Commander 1984-85. (his wife Lois was Department President during his term). Tom made visitions to over 70 posts in Vermont during his term. His commitment to meeting and visiting with his fellow veterans was a priority for him. He excelled at membership due to these efforts.
Tom loved all Boston Sports, particularly the Red Sox and Patriots. Well known for his sense of humor and passion for music.
He died July 21, 2012 and was buried Pittsburg Hollow Cemetery, Pittsburg, NH with full military honors.
