National Naval Affiars; National Security Comm.; Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Comm 2013-2023; VA&R Regional Chair 1994-2003; Vice Chair 1993. VA&R Region 1 1992-2005; 

Department Service Officer for 38 years of dedicated service at the White River VA Hospital. 1983-2021. The longest serving Service Officer. He appointed himself, while he was Department Commander to the position, due to the failing health of the Department Service Officer.His legacy of service to veterans was extraordinary. 

He held the office of President of the Department Service officers for two years. He was instrumental in creating legislation for The American Legion nationally to better serve the veterans throughout the United States.
