Bill Johnson was born October 19,1924 in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Bristol, Vt. 
 

WWII Navy Veteran: July 1942-October 1945. USS Winslow, Destroyer the Atlantic. 

He was owner and operator of the H.W. Johnson Electricians Company. 1958-1978.

Past Post Commander Pierce Lawton Post #37 1955-56.He was an extremely active member and Chairman of Memorial Day for decades.

Dept: District and Vice Commander. Membership chairman. 

Dept Commander 1977-78.

Past Commander 40&8; Mason Grand Master; Elks, Odd Fellows; President PTA; President and founder of Vt Electrical ContractorsAssoc.United Church; 

Bill was awarded at the VA hospital for his many years of volunteering. 

Department Energy Chairman.

He suffered many years from Alzheimer's and died while a patient at the Vt Veterans Home, Bennington January 1, 1986.
