Leo Wright, born July 16, 1912 Highgate, VT. Graduate from Cathedral HS and worked as a shipping and receiving clerk.
He joined the United States Army and had an amazing career of 38 years with the Vermont National Guard and on active duty.From 1934-1971.
106th Infantry Division stationed in Camp Lee and Pickett VA and Camp Maxie, Texas. He served at the Battle of the Bulge; Belgium, France, Germany during WWII. Returned home to the National Guard for 2 1/2 years and returned to active duty stationed at at Ft Riley Kansas as a supply SGT.He served during the Korean War. He rose quickly in rank to First Sergeant and came home to the National Guard in 1953 As a Warrant Officer. He was the administrator of the Brattleboro National Guard unit until his retirement in 1971.

1977 moved to Florida and returned to Burlington prior to his death on July 27, 1993. Buried Resurrection Park Cemetery, Burlington,Vt
