1940 Moved to St Albans,VT.
1943-1945 Joined the US Army.
1945 Officer Candidate School Fontainebleau, France;
2d Armored Division. He was at Omaha Beach; Battle of the Bulge 6/9/44 and was wounded, recipient of the Purple Heart and Belgian Croix de Guerre.
1950-52. Executive Officer Tank Company 172nd Infantry Regiment.
Civilian: He owned and operated the Blue Lion Restaurant for 25 years. Salesman for the Cambridge Packing Company 22 years. Real estate appraiser 14 years. Retired after his wife died 1993.

1965-66 Department Commander.
Life member of the Elks, Mason for 50 years, VFW, Shriner, Life member of Military Order of The Purple Heart.
