Roy Sweet born Jan 13, 1925 in Gilman, VT. Attended school in East Concord.
Joined the Vermont National Guard as Military Police, served for 40 years. Activated WWII March 29, 1943-March 1, 1946; Activated again Sept 5, 1950- 1952 Korea. 43rd Division.
Employed: Prison Guard Vt State Prison and Rehabilitation Treatment Facility.
Post #25 Windsor Commander and held every office in the post as needed. Totally dedicated to the post.

He received over 400 medals, awards, plaques and commendaions from the Vermont National Guard for his expert marksmanship standing in competitions.
Died 7/14/2001 Windsor, Vt complications from diabetes. Buried at the Vt veterans cemetery in Randolph, VT
