Mr  Clarence Stanley "C.S."Campbell was elected as the Department Commander.

C.S.  born 1/27/07 at Barre, VT . His family immigrated from Scotland. He graduated from Spaulding HS, Barre, VT

WWII Army veteran May29, 1944 to Sept 14, 1945 discharged as a Sergeant.

1949 He graduated from Rutgers School of Banking. He worked for Peoples Bank of Barre, for43 years, retiring 1970, after years as the director. He also served as the City of Barre tax collector. 

He was a trustee for the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington, VT from 1951-1977.

23 years as a governmental appeals agent for Selective Service.

Commissioner of VT State Liqour Control.

National Chairman for The American Legion Economic Commission. 

National Executive Committeeman

Treasurer for the VT GOP

President of: Barre Merchants bureau,Rotarmy Club, Vt Bankers Assoc. , National Assoc. Bank Auditors, he was a Mason, Shriner, Knight of Pythias.

Trustee for Brookhaven Home for Boys.

C.S. Campbell was a dedicated Legionnaire and led the Department to financial stability.
