Dr Cerasoli was born in East Barre on Sept 7, 1898. He graduated from Spaulding HS. He joined the Army June 24, 1916 CO H. 1st Vt Infantry until 8/21/1918 and then transferred to Company E 101st Aummunition Train to Discharge April 1919. He was overseas October 1917-April 1919. He served in the campaigns of: Battle of Argonne, Champagne-Marne, Aisne-Mihiel and Meuse-Argone. He was gassed while serving and continued to suffer from the effects until his young death at 57 years. He was given the Victory Medal. 

Returning from War he graduated from the Montpelier Seminary, Dartmouth College, Wesley College where he studied Medical Missionary work, UVM Medical School and then traveled for Internships in Boston and Rhode Island hospitals until he returned to his beloved town to set up practice as a physician and surgeon of Barre, VT in 1931.

1942 joined the Vermont State Guard Medical Corps and was promoted to Major

Department Commander 1944-45; Alternate NEC 1946.

He worked for the Department VA&R Committee: He was a examiner for the VA at the time. 

President of the Barre Hospital Physicians and Surgeons 1947--48

Trustee for the Junior College, Mason, Shriner, Methodist Church. 

He died January 19, 1956 at the age of 57 years old. He had suffered from injuries of the war and the Mustard Gas.  He is buried in the Elmwood Cemetery in Barre.
