Born in Eden, VT 9/4/1895. WWI Army Cavalry veteran 11th Cav. Company C Enlisting 6/4/17, sent overseas 8/3/18 -6/20/19 and discharged Corporal 6/28/19.
He worked for Fairbanks Scale Company as a machinist.

Department Commander 1944 after a heated race with Raeburn McMahon of Morrisville.
He served on the board of directors of the Vermont Veterans Home, Bennington.
He helped organize both Vermont Boys State and Junior League Legion baseball for the Department of Vermont.
He died 4/16/1981 of a cardiac arrest age 85.
His love for the Americanism Programs that support our youth was rewarded, as the Department named the Children and Youth award after him. This award is given to a post with a membership of 100-200 members.
