His family immigrated from County Clare, Ireland to the Montpelier area. His father was the Mayor of Montpelier 1903-06. Later, owned and operated a Granite Company.
He graduated from Montpelier HS, attended Andover Academy and then off to IVY League Yale.
Frank went to Yale, while he was there, he called his parents and asked if he could join the Connecticut National Guard to help the war effort and they agreed.
He served in 106th Field Artillery 42nd Rainbow Division 7/20/17, Battery F 3rd NY Field Artillery 12/5/17 and as a 2nd LT he went overseas from 6/4/18-3/31/19 where he was promoted to 1LT.
He returned to work for his father, as a director of the Granite Company; rose to Director of the First National Bank 1929.
He was elected into the Vermont House of Representatives (1935) and served as Vt State Senator for Washington County, (1938) three terms.
1930 Frank's father made a large contribution to Montpelier Post #3 for equipment and uniforms for the formation of a Drum and Bugle Corps.
1931 he ran a very successful race against ASA Bloomer, Atty. for Department Commander.
1966 He was the VT American Banking Association Chairman
20 years on the Montpelier HS School Board
Treasurer for the Republican Party of Vermont
VP and Trustee of the Chittenden Trust Company
Secretary of the Wetmore and Morse Granite Company
Former President and Club Champ at the Montpelier Country Club
Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks in Montpelier
He died April 18, 1972 and is entombed in the Green Mountain Cemetery.
