Jack was born 2/11/1891 in Washington DC moved to St Albans, VT in 1920. 

Enlisted: 4/3/1917, Machine Gun Company 1st VT Infantry Company C 103d Machine Gun Battalion Company B and also G. Primary station: Ft Ethan Allen. (Captain) overseas 10/3/17-4/17/1919. WW1 veteran. As noted in the Newspaper (he was one of the first boys to join the military in WW1)

He was a Treasurer.Central Vermont Railroad.

As Department Commander he came prepared to fight for the Veterans Hospital to be built in Vermont. He provided exact statitistics, facts and amazed the board with his accuracy. 

1932 became the Mayor of St Albans.(Republican)

1935 President of the St Albans Chamber of Commerce

He started his year with resisting the re-districting of the posts. He believed that the Districts should have frequent meetings and especially that one be prior to state convention. 

Maintaining money in the fund for the newly formed Junior League Baseball was supported.

1941 he is named by the governor as LTC of the Vermont State Guard. 

Death 1/4/1949 in St. Albans,age 57.   VT Acute cholecystitis with acute cardiac dilation and Pneumonia. He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery,St Albans, VT  His eulogy was given : "He gave himself unrestrainedly, unreservedly, strenously and challengingly to every venture, task, duty and undertaking to which had committed himself." "Not only was he loyal and faithful to friends, but to every task and duty to which he set his mond, his heart and his hand. He demanded, or at least expected, of others exactitude in, and fidelity to the work at hand, which was his right, because he was exacting of himself....friendly, faithful even unto death." The churched was packed to capacity and then some, with dignitaries from Central Vt Railroad, Municipalities and government and his hundreds of his beloved Legionnaires.
