CHARLES RALPH OLLIVER (1899-1979), ninth commander (1927), was born in Barre. He was inducted on 23 October 1918, at Montpelier and assigned to the S.A.T.C. (Student Army Training Corps) at the University of Vermont in Burlington until discharge on 11 December 1918. His grave is in Woodside Section (W1-1-060) of Hope Cemetery.
