A few years ago, one of the local Boy Scout troops built a flag disposal burn pit at the Taylor County Veterans Cemetery. Our post has the honor of providing the flag disposal service several times a year. During the 2017 Flag Day ceremony, the West Texas winds proved too strong to light a fire but the team performed the ceremony in front of a few spectators. After the ceremony, the new 2017/2018 post officers were sworn in for the year.
