St Hedwig American Legion Post 539 provides assistances to our VAV Representatives at the Audie L Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital in San Antonio, Tx for Social Programs throughout the year. We also have our 2nd Vice Commander Gene G, Becker who is a volunteer at the hospital on a daily bases for the past 10 years and has over 9,500 hours.Our Post sends additional assistants each year for the Hospital Christmas Program and our 2nd Vice Commander performs the duties of Santa Clause for most of the wards in the hospital.
