American Legion Department of Texas 17th District Auxiliary President, Nancy Cobb, traveled from her home Post 163 in Weatherford, TX to administer the oath of office to Turnbow-Higgs Auxiliary Unit 240 membership year 2025 officers.
Commander Fredrickson presented Post 240’s Legionnaire of the Year Citation and Award to Navy and Vietnam war era veteran, Tim Tatom. Tim joined the American Legion Post 240 in 2021. From day one of his membership, Tim has exhibited exceptional leadership qualities and eagerness to serve Post 240 wherever his talents are needed and most useful. He has held Post 240’s Service officer position since joining Post 240 and will add the 2nd Vice Commander position to his multiple roles of responsibilities in 2025. He is currently Officer in Charge of Post 240 Honor guard and will continue to be responsible for organizing and responding to requests for flag & rifle salute presentations, such as Veteran Funerals, Schools, Patriotic Community events, and Parades.

Mallory Litchfield (Executive Committee) and Nita Griffith (Co-Chaplain) were unable to attend the induction ceremony. Unit 240 President will administer the oath to them later.
