The Diamond Cross Rodeo in Dublin, Texas kicked off Saturday, Sept. 9 with a tribute to first responders in honor of those who were lost on 9/11 and those who serve the community every day. Turnbow-Higgs American Legion Post 240 Legionnaires (L-R) Charles Dotson, Chris Grantham, Walter Dotson, and Tim Tatom performed Color Guard Duties at event opening. Erath County Sheriff, Matt Coates (2nd from Right) joins other first responders being honored on this evening. Youngsters enjoyed participating in the mutton bustin’ event. Alex Lamkin received first place and Olivia Lamkin received second place. In the 12 and under calf scramble Colton Caldera and John DeCiccio were awarded.
