Turnbow-Higgs American Legion Post 240 Honor Guard presented Military Funeral services for our comrade and Post Chaplain, LeRoy 'Candyman' Griffin, Thursday June 28, 2018 at Erath County Cowboy Church. Leroy was a Past Post Commander and 25-year Honorary Life member of Post 240.
Post 240 Honor Guard members members were; Jimmy Finney, Justin Finney, Robert Whitley, Addison Winslow, Ron Henry and volunteer Maury Jernigan who played taps. Roger Easter and Burton Smith were the flag folding and presentation team.
Post 240 Legionnaires Sid Moon (A pallbearer at the Church service) Fred Cross, Roger Easter and Randall Jameson traveled to the distant burial site in Valera, TX. where they were members of the pallbearer team that escorted Leroy ‘Candyman’ to his final resting Place.
