Commander opened the business meeting by introducing guests and applicants for membership Ron Henry, Candace Hughes, Melissa Reed and Sara Stachura. Adjutant verified qualifications for all four and motioned to approve. Following a second by Rondoe Smith, membership unanimously voted approval.
Business meeting continued with Sgt At Arms Robert Whitley presenting to Commander for initiation new members Tami Barker, Marty Deckard, Matt Hallgarth and Jerry Littlefield. Commander instructed the new members to raise their right hand and proceeded to administer the oath. Chaplain LeRoy Griffin then approached the podium and instructed new members to turn and gaze upon the American Legion emblem mounted above the fire place. He then proceeded to describe and define the meaning and purpose of each segment of the emblem. The initiation ceremony closed with Commander presenting Certificates of Initiation to each new member followed by photographs.
