The students and Veterans present for the 2015 Henderson Jr. High Veterans Appreciation assembly program were treated to a rousing and inspirational speech by The Honorable Mayor of Stephenville, Kenny Weldon, Air Force Retired and Post 240 Legionnaire, who is pictured in photo with Retired Marine, Juan Dalvo, a relative of one of the students and Legionnaire Jack Parks (Blue shirt). The veteran (R) is unknown.
The Mayor’s inspirational speech moved the entire audience into shouts of USA as he pointed out the harsh and cruel differences between dictatorships and the freedoms garanteed by the USA constitution.
A brilliant and inspiring speaker, the Mayor ‘HIT A HOME RUN’ with this one. He would repeat the performance at Huckabay High School on Friday the 13th with the same and maybe even more bosterious shouts of USA from the students.
