With Military Precision, the 300 plus Legacy Riders began arriving at Stephenville's City park at 6:58 PM to be greeted and welcomed by Chamber of Commerce President and Director July Danley and Turnbow-Higgs Post 240 Commander, Roger Easter.

Turnbow-Higgs American Legion Post 240 Honorary Life Member, Brad Thompson, greets National Commander James ‘Jim’ Koutz as the Riders continue to pass through one of two Hard Eight Bar-B-Q chow lines. Brad Thompson, a member Of Post 240 for 50+ years, and Post 240 Historian, believes this was the first visit by a National Commander to Stephenville. He is certain it was his first to be photographed with a National Commander.

Texas Department Commander Jim Fleming, a Legion Rider, was among the leaders riding into Stephenville for an overnight stay. The Riders ultimate destination was the National Convention held in Houston, Texas.

Stephenville Chamber of Commerce President and Director, July Danley, was presented a Certificate of Appreciation award from National Commander Koutz. Turnbow-Higgs American Legion Post 240 Commander, Roger Easter, was presented a similar award by the National Commander.

H. (Mickey) McGuire, Roger Easter and Colonel Jason Vranes and wife, Wendy and their children Faith, Micah, Grace and Joy.
