Turnbow-Higgs American Legion Post 240 entry in the annual Stephenville Independence Day Parade was a Lincoln Navigator provided by TexStar Ford. Brad Thompson made arrangements and Scott Byrd of TexStar Ford delivered the vehicle to the assembly area. Many Parade Floats were already parked in the assembly area at the football stadium home side parking when Post 240 Members arrived at 8:15 AM. A couple of cell phone calls enabled Post 240 personnel to locate each other and they gathered around the beautiful Lincoln Navigator for a photo shoot. (L-R)Curtis Anderson, Jim Cox, Patti Douglas and Roger Easter.

Parade began sharply at 9:30 AM. Post 240 Lincoln was positioned near the beginning of the Parade and followed Boy Scout Troop 18 who led the way. A patriotic musical CD was inserted into the CD player and with windows down, volume up and flags in hand Post 240 began the parade. Several veterans, including Post 240 Members John Rogers, Brad Thompson, Norman Craig and Auxiliary unit 240 member, Joanna Lay, were seen along the way and acknowledged with the traditional Hand Salute.

Having completed the Parade route, Post 240 returned to the assembly area at Tarleton Football Stadium. Jim Cox & Roger Easter returned the Lincoln Navigator to TexStar Ford.
