WEATHERFORD — A fundraising kick-off event for the Veterans’ Memorial is set for 1 p.m. Monday. This event is sponsored by the American Legion Post 163.
The Legion is working together with the Veterans of Foreign War Post 4746 and the City of Weatherford to transform a 0.15 acre tract of land leftover after the re-alignment with Foster Lane and Eureka Street into a memorial.
Fundraising efforts include the sale of inscribed bricks for a cost of $50 or $100 depending on size.
