WEATHERFORD — Charles Katlic has been recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in veteran advocacy.

At elementary and high schools, Mr. Katlic speaks about patriotism and the value of the constitution. He works to instill in students national pride, thus spreading veteran reverence. Mr. Katlic also assists veterans in attending hospital appointments. With 32 years of professional experience, he attributes his success to his hard work, dedication and Christian faith.

A chaplain for his local Post No. 163 of The American Legion, Mr. Katlic is a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, life member of Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge and life member of Disabled American Veterans. He is also a member of the 99th Infantry Division Association, a life member of the Marine Corp League, and a life member of the Combat Infantryman’s Association.

Katlic was instrumental in putting 11 veterans’ memorials in 11 cemeteries in Parker County. Texas. With the help of hundreds of young and old volunteers, he put over 41,000 flags on veterans’ graves and in public places in Parker and surrounding counties. He is the recipient of a Combat Infantryman Badge and two Bronze Star Medals. Mr. Katlic was also recognized by the United States Coast Guard with an Outstanding Employee Award. In the future, he hopes to continue volunteering with veterans and children.
