WEATHERFORD – Veterans will be honored Saturday, Nov. 7, with a parade themed “Honoring our Veterans - Past and Present.” We have special vehicles for past war veterans.

American Legion Post 163 organized the annual Parker County Veteran's Day Parade, which begins at 9:45 a.m. with opening ceremonies in the north parking lot of the new 9th Grade Center at 1007 S. Main St. and kicks off with an F16 squadron fly-over from NAS JRB Fort Worth.

The parade route exits from Eureka North on Main Street to Oak Street, West to Waco then back to the Ninth Grade Center on Russell Street entering Roo Road.

Entry forms are being taken for floats and other entries by the Post's parade committee, 703 Eureka St., Weatherford, 76086 or can be e-mailed to legionpost163@aol.com. Forms are also available at the Chamber of Commerce or American Legion Post 163 at 703 Eureka and should be submitted no later than the last week of October.
