50 years and still partners

William Clyde "Slim" and Bonnie Edwards will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2002, at the American Legion, 703 Eureka St., Weatherford. Friends are invited.

Clyde's parents were Clyde and Eva Edwards. Bonnie's parents were Alford and Ola Dewveall. Bonnie is a native of Weatherford, Texas, and Clyde has resided here for 50 years. Clyde retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co and Bonnie from the city of Weatherford. They were married June 7. 1952, in Weatherford.

Their family includes children, Judy and Robert Walker, Elaine Anderson, Norman Edwards, Herbert and Mandy Edwards, and Nathan and Mary Edwards; grandchildren, Amanda and Tee Morgan, Kyle Anderson, and Truman, Stephanie, Tyler and Scarlett Edwards; step grandchildren, Cristin and Chal Allen and Stephanie Blethen; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Leigh Morgan; and step greatgrandson, Carter Allen.

The party, planned by Deborah Jurek and Frankie Hull, will be held at the American Legion, where W.C. has been active for 50 years.
