Memorial Day 2018

Today we remembered our "BROTHERS" that have been lost and now reside in "The Post Everlasting" Post 243 presented the "POW/MIA" table with explanation and Vietnam Veterans Association 995 presented the "SOLDIERS CROSS" with explanation. A member of both organizations placed a wreath at our Veterans Memorial located in Scotts Hill City Park. Post 243 presented the "Thirteen Folds" program. Penny Roberts sang "The National Anthem" and Russell Keeton performed "The Ragged Old Flag". Guest were Scotts Hill mayor Don Buckingham, Decatur County mayor Mike Creasy, and Dept. of Tennessee 8th district commander Lanny Culver. Our keynote speaker was Dept. of Tennessee membership chairman Stephen Wiesmann. We want to thank Don Armstrong for preparing the pork bbq and the ladies of our Women's Auxiliary for all the fixings and desserts.
