At the monthly Meeting of the Members, Kings Mountain Post 24 formally began sponsorship of Boy Scout Troop 237.   Scoutmaster

Larry Taylor introduced Mr Terry Dillinger, Troop Commissioner, who presented the new Charter to the Post.  He explained the troop had been chartered by various churches over the past 57 years and was excited to be able to call the American Legion their home.  They now have a perminant place to meet and display their flag and bulliten boards.  Two plaques now adorn the hall with the names of Scouts who have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
