Edwin "Bud" Niewenhuis,96, Of Stickney was presented The South Dakota WW II commemorative coin by American Legion Post 26 Commander Tyler Gerlach at a reception in Bud's honor. Family and friends came together to thank Bud for his service.
Bud noted that he served in the South Pacific, along side several million friends to get the job done. Bud still resides at home with his wife Mae and is out and about every day, always with a great hello and a smile. Thank You "Bud"!
