The Rames-Bender Post 152 conducted the annual Memorial Day services at the Menno Cemetery. Commander Bob Rennolet conducted the program; Carroll Langland and Robert Hall did a fly over with their planes; Lieutenant Commander Gary Lang was the main speaker; Tom Ulmer and the Menno High School Band furnished the music; and Shirlene Simonsen read the Honor Roll of the Dead. The color guard consisted of: Roger Mensch, Bob Rennolet, Lee Herrboldt, Daryl Mehlhaf, and Earl Neuharth. The firing squad were: Jerry Nusz (Sergeant-at-Arms), Lynn Ulmer, Larry Kirschenman, Dan Auch, Kelly Streyle, Steve Mettler, Wahnell Ulmer, Dale Mehlhaf, and Del Ray Edelman. About 200 people attended the service.
