The Rames-Bender Post 152 co-sponsored with the Legion Auxilliary a farewell party for 17 National Guard members who were being deployed to Iraq. The Post posted the colors, Gary Schelske (Chaplain) gave a prayer, Mrs. Shoppers of the Auxilliary gave a brief talk and introduction, and Darrell Mehlhaf introduced all the Guard members and their families. The Gideons presented New Testaments to the soldiers and cake was served.
