The Rames-Bender Post 152 dedicated their new Veterans Memorial in the Menno city park.  The keynote/dedication speaker was Lt. Col. Bill Van Gerpen (South Dakota Representative).  Other speakers were Bruce Anderson (Master of Ceremonies), Pastor Leon Schulz, Roger Mensch (Commander of Rames-Bender Post 152), Larry Tolzin (Mayor of Menno), Wilma Liebl (President of Menno Legion Auxilliary), Wayne "Red" Vetter (South Dakota Legion State Commander), and Irene Sears (South Dakota Auxilliary State Commander).  The Color Guard consisted of:  Lee Herrboldt, Dale Mehlhaf, Bob Rennolet, Larry Stern, and Jerome Hoff.  The Firing Squad consisted of:  Elmer Zeeb, Vern Maminga, Lynn Ulmer, Jim Opplinger, Darrell Mehlhaf, John Stokes, Terry Auch, and Jerry Nusz (Sergeant-at-Arms).  Lunch was served at the Legion hall by the Women's Auxilliary after the dedication services.
