There was a major cleanup at Lake Menno to prepare the lake for the summer fishing and camping. Cleanup was done in conjunction with the Fire Department and Lake Menno Association. After the cleanup, lunch was served. The Hutchinson Herald furnished the hamburgers, the Legion furnished the buns and the Lake Menno Association furnished the beer and soda pop.
